Design and construction of laboratory water, electricity, gas pipelines, communication ports, mobile facilities, etc.

Update time:2020-06-09

1. Water system

Where the drip cup is set, the water outlet should be set above the drip cup, and there should be a distance between the work surface and the outlet to accommodate the lowered utensils.

In normal use, the valve should have a conventional closing device, and it should be specially designed where the water flow pressure is high and where the flow or flow is controlled. The design of the valve and the system should meet the working pressure, and special devices may require higher pressure.

Waste water should be installed with a catchment device to collect the water droplets from the outlet of the workbench. The drip cup and the plug-in sink should be made of suitable materials to cope with the liquid waste spilling on it; if the drip cup and sink are installed On the surface of the workbench, the upper or lower surface should be properly sealed; a water blocking grid should be installed to prevent objects with a diameter greater than 800 from passing. The drip cup outlet uses a connecting pipe, which can have either an elbow or a direct connection. The workbench plug-in lower sink should meet the above-mentioned drip cup standard and have an automatic drain base.

Avoid spilling liquid from the laboratory drip cup or sink into the water system uncontrollably. For example, this may mean using a drip cup with a spout and a sink, and in the design, considering the separation of the spilled liquid from the waste before it enters the water system.

In each test bench or workbench experiment, a pipe bending system should be set up. It should be pointed out that for systems with separation tanks, there should be no elbows at the outlet, because air blockage may occur except for the back vent pipe or special arrangements.

2. Gas pipeline system

2.1 Combustible gas

According to national regulations, gas valves should be installed at the outlet of combustible gas facilities. Note: Combustible gases include natural gas, propane, butane or their mixtures. Other gases, such as acetylene or hydrogen, are not included.

When the valve is in the "off" position, it can be clearly indicated by the position of the handwheel or operating lever. Equipment to prevent accidental opening of the air valve should be installed.

2.2 Gases other than combustible

Where the flow rate needs to be fine-tuned or where high purity is required, special valves should be used.

Valves for other gases should be suitable for a maximum operating pressure that does not exceed the atmospheric pressure of 1000 °C.

Certain facilities may require much higher pressures than this and should be specifically designed to meet these parameters.

Special gas outlet valves should be specially designed for the gas to be processed; the manufacturer should ensure that lubricants, gaskets and materials such as metals and plastics are not dangerous.

Note: Special hazards, such as the contact between oxygen and grease, and the contact between acetylene and copper alloy or silver alloy.

Three, circuit system

Electrical sockets, including power sockets of rated voltage and non-standard voltage, ports of telecommunications equipment and computer network ports, should be installed to minimize the risk of liquid splashing into them. No port should be installed on the back of the lower end, where the plug may be accidentally disconnected.

Electrical sockets should comply with applicable national regulations, and metal-wrapped sockets or plastic sockets should be selected as appropriate. Computer and other communication ports should comply with relevant national standards.

If electrical equipment is built into laboratory furniture, the choice of equipment housing or protective layer should consider the infiltration of water, particles and corrosive substances or exposure to mechanical damage or flammable gas and steam, and the equipment should comply with applicable National standards.

For electrical engineering, physical (electromechanical) or electronics workbenches, which may be exposed to dangerous voltages, the following measures should be taken: work surfaces and accessories (including sockets) should be made of insulating materials; people may touch when using the workbench Except for the experimental instruments, the metal products should be covered with insulating materials; the experimental instruments and uninsulated metal products should be grounded; the metal products near the laboratory workbench should be as few as possible; for example: put in other places, not Moving metal products should be grounded;

The power supply should comply with applicable national regulations; the electrical installations of the laboratory workbench should meet the standards as much as possible;

Each workbench should be located at an easily accessible emergency trip button or switchable fuse, so that in an emergency, the workbench and the surrounding environment can be powered off.

Four, communication port

Regarding the standards for connecting with facilities provided by telecommunication service providers: these standards should be followed. The connection with computer equipment and the network should be consistent with the requirements of electrical sockets. When planning this equipment space, consideration should be given to the possible expansion of this facility in the future.

5. Mobile facilities

In addition to the facilities provided by the power distribution system, furniture and equipment may require separate outlets to set up and distribute some special facilities. These outlets can also be applied to general facilities, but their demand for these is limited.

Consideration should be given to equipment that may need to be used, such as compressors, vacuum pumps, and high-pressure gas cylinders.

The use of portable equipment may be particularly dangerous because cables, connecting pipes and pipes are susceptible to mechanical damage or misuse. These devices should be properly evaluated and protected. The connection of the mobile device should be consistent with the requirements of the communication port.
